I know it's a lot but otherwise you will not understand what we have and still are going through. 11-11-15, A phone call from the owner of felicia. She had colic the whole morning and the vet was already there but he couldnt help her. She had to go to a Veterinary Clinic in Utrecht. It was so upsetting when I found her in the stable, I've never seen her like that.

My mother told me that I had to hug her because it might be that last time I would see her. I can't explain how that feels.. It's terrible.

In Utrecht was her condition getting worse and worse so they had to do an operation immediately. She had a blockage and a wrick in her small intestine. It was 50% chance that she would get through the surgery. I've never cried so much in one day. Felicia is my life and I wouldn't know what to do without her. I can not describe to you how I would feel if I should miss felicia in my life. I have spent almost 10 years with her and there have to come so many more.

Luckily her condition was very good and because she is a very strong horse, she passed the operation/surgery. But.. The days that came after that are the hardest. Her small intestine had to go back to work after the surgery. After two days we were back at the beginning.. She had 40 degrees fever. So the drip had to be applied again.

On Sunday I finally could visit her in Utrecht. I was extremely happy to see her again. She'd have gone very backwards but I knew this. She has lost a lot of weight, and her eyes looked sadly.. But that is because she has been through so much and she barely understands what's going on. We needed those white suits and blue gloves because she had a virus and that is catching for other horses. The cut/wound that you will see at the end of the videois the scar on her stomach from the surgery. So big..

After this things were finally getting better.. we have not received more bad news and Felicia was allowed ten days after she has been in the clinic to go home.. ♥

I think you all understand that me and felicia have to do a big step back with what we have achieved but I'm willing to do anything for her. I have to go to her twice a day because the first two months she had to stay in the stables. But I'm glad she is still alive. I am the owner so gratefull for letting them do that operation. It consumes a lot of money and because she is almost 22 not everyone would choose to do this.

I've definitely realized how quickly everything can change and how happy I should be that I have her by my side, It's not that I'm not happy but because I take care of her for so long, it's just a habit that she is there. It has never been differently for my feeling.. and now it is..

We'll have to start all over again, but she is still with me .. that's the most important thing.
