A step-by-step walkthrough on upgrading or replacing your brake pads and rotors on a 2009 R56 Mini Cooper non-turbo. The base model does have different brakes than the Cooper S so when you order your new rotors for the base Cooper make sure they are 280x22mm or about 11 in diameter. Parts websites are not always clear about this with their parts fitment software. I originally ordered EBC rotors that were guaranteed to fit my Cooper but they were 11.57 inches which did not fit my Cooper. Rotor retaining screw T50 bit
