I spend a couple of weeks on the KLR650 S, or the factory shortened or lowered version which brings the seat down to an 815 mm height from the stratospheric 870 mm on the regular version!
While still a heavy machine, the KLR650 makes up for that with a level of stability and dependability that is pretty hard to ignore, and should make for an ideal beginner or utilitarian adventure motorcycle for many riders, as long as you can pick it up!
