I woke up today to a bowl of cereal and skies all gray
I caught of whiff of May, and nothing else but that’s okay
(Now that) I finally woke, gotta line of folk, I wait for my Pho
I hit a bump going home, the rest was smooth, I go on with the show
Oh what a life it’s been
In the end I’ll be glad
Oh I’m right here at home, and I enjoy all I have
Lord I wish I was rather stoned, but I guess this aint so bad
On the beach I found a tab
To a soda crushed by a hand
My feet melted in the sand, I watch the waves, do I understand?
I go take my seat, throw back my head, prop up my feet
We crack a joke or three, yes we don’t ever miss a beat
Oh I never been so mad
And I never been so sad
From the sand and the waves, to my bed and my home
Lord I guess this aint so bad but I wish I was rather stoned
