Описание: The state and Terrebonne Parish government cooperated to restore Whiskey Island, a barrier island that protects wetlands and inland communities from Gulf of Mexico tides and storms. It is the the largest restoration project Louisiana has completed and is one of the largest in the world. The $118 million for the project, completed this summer, came from money the state received from BP in a settlement over the company's 2010 Gulf oil spill.
