Formation of Ammonia | Haber Process | Class 10 Chemistry | NH₃ Formation Explained
Formation of Ammonia (NH₃) – Haber Process
In this Shorts video, learn how Nitrogen (N₂) reacts with Hydrogen (H₂) to form Ammonia (NH₃).
This reaction is extremely important in Chemistry and is used in fertilizers, industrial processes and lab preparation.
👉 Balanced Equation:
N₂ (g) + 3H₂ (g) → 2NH₃ (g)
This is an example of a Combination Reaction and Reversible Reaction carried out in the presence of:
• Iron catalyst (Fe)
• Molybdenum promoter
• High pressure (200 atm)
• High temperature (450°C)
Useful for:
• Class 9 & 10 Chemistry
• Chemical Reactions & Equations
• Industrial Chemistry
• Board Exams (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards)
• NTSE, Olympiad & JEE foundation
