After a weekend of work 5029 Nunney Castle is seen heading home to Crewe whilst working 5Z29 1027 Taunton to Crewe H.S.
Everything seemed fairly as booked. The water tanker was in position. 5029 57311 & 57002 arrived 18 minutes late and watering of the loco commenced.
Once watering was finished the crews checked over the locos and seemed to prepare for departure, but it wasn’t to be. 57002 left the back of the consist and shunted next to 5029 & 57311.
5029 then sets back and crosses over the points so that 57002 could attach to become the leading loco back to Crewe.
