Описание: Here we have a used up and run down police car that still runs but needs some tender loving care. The 2-door Customline Ford was at the middle tier and 293,375 of these were made this year. Suggested price for this 2-dr. Customline was $1,744. Ford was battling Chevy with discounted prices this year and both Chevy and Ford sold hundreds of thousands of cars. Of course, that hurt the independent car makers so bad that they never really recovered. The models around the Customline was the Mainline below and the Crestline above. This police car has the V8, 239 cid with 130 hp., and the other engine was an L-head 6 with 223 cid and 115 hp. These Y block V8's replaced the long lived flatheads that powered not only Ford but Mercury also. Ford also was the first low priced car with ball-joint front suspension replacing the old kingpins. Ford model year production was 1,165,942 units beating Chevy by 22,381, mostly because Ford had that new Y block V8 engine. As you can see this police car has seen better days but I'm sure it will get back to it's former splendor as a crime-fighting vehicle.
