Sometimes, the most "obvious" lures just don't cut it. In today’s session, I’m taking my BFS (Bait Finesse System) setup deep into a small creek to prospect for some wary trout. The water was tea-coloured, the fish were active, but they were quite picky. I went through my favorite minnows, handmade worm lure, cicada imitations with almost no luck.
Just as I was about to spit the dummy, I switched back to a classic golden spinner—and the creek absolutely came alive.
