Plastic windows once signified affluence. Demanding customers picked exotic wood frames. Metal windows were common in industrial and commercial structures. They're fashionable again. Steel or brass, they're fitted in modern lofts and historical interiors. Biometric locking systems combine elegance with current technology.
00:00 Inside Factories: Metal Windows & Doors
00:32 Promar Steel Factory.
We traveled to Siedlnica, Lubuskie Voivodeship, to see how Promar Steel makes creative windows, doors, and metal frames. Go!
00:52 Custom-made windows and doors.
Thin steel frames allow for big glazed panels. The longest windows were 15 meters long and 7 meters high. Each project is custom-made.
Most of the procedure happens in the design office. Arrangements can take a day or months. When all details are agreed upon and approved by the customer, engineers set CNC machine production parameters.
01:30 CNC machines make specialized parts.
The 4-axis machining centre mills, drills, and threads. Some parts bend.
Promar Steel uses black, stainless, weathering, or brass frame and sash components. Hot or cold steel portions. First are thermally insulated. The warehouse also has thresholds, bars, glazing beads, and bends.
02:35 How it's made: step by step production.
Sections are cut to length and angle using a double-headed saw. Here, a brass portion is being cut at the proper speed. Each detail is tagged for further identification.
Then CNC machines receive the sections. Here, a brass sash is machined to accept a lock.
Milling a brass window fin.
Degrease and rinse material after CNC machining. It's now welded. A door frame is shown here. Brass welding demands experience and TIG technology. Welding a stainless steel window frame. Details are ground and transported for assembly. Screw clips, latches, and hinges to the frame first. All actions are recorded to manage the process efficiently.
03:45 Quality check up in the factory.
After checking for proper opening and closing, windows or doors are disassembled and finished. U.S. buyers prefer wet-coated steel. Third, patination. Brass oxidizes to green, brown, or purple. The assembled parts are then transported. A manipulator puts a pane in the sash and seals it permanently. Final sealing.
04:29 Metal and steel satisfy even the pickiest clientele. Mostly from the U.S. and the UK, but increasingly from Poland.
We're here to learn about the industry. This project was inspired by "How It's Made?" His Discovery TV famed him. Every week, we take our viewers to the plant to check how the production process is going. Every week, a new documentary video demonstrates how things are manufactured. These and other objects may be found among the various sorts of equipment on the planet. Likely, you're inquisitive about how food is produced. Our YouTube channel included frankfurters, Pepsi, kebabs, salty sticks, and a range of sauces and condiments. It's thrilling to be creating something fresh. Science and technology include a wealth of intriguing information. Every week, we show you the miracles of manufacturing. The plant won't surprise us.
