In 2020 the entire world was in distress due to the global pandemic. We are so sorry for those who lost loved ones. On August 11, 2020, our uncle & brother Joe passed away. On September 8, 2020, while we were locked down due to Coronavirus with the rest of the world, hurricane force winds with speeds up to 99 miles per hour ripped through our area and the Governor and President declared a disaster. For the next 3 weeks, every day after online home schooling, we went through our neighborhoods and cleared fallen trees. There were many that helped, including firefighters, police, the National Guard, neighbors, and utility crews from all over the country. When you are feeling down, the best thing to do is to go help others in need.

Earlier, in April of 2020, our uncle & brother Joe became ill and was unable to get help because the hospitals were locked down due to Coronavirus. When Joe finally was admitted into the hospital, the doctors told him that he had a rare genetic disorder that is fatal, with no treatments available. Joe was a gifted cello player and was a very bright information technology specialist. One time, when the power went out in his town due to a storm, Joe bought pizza for all the electrical workers who risked their lives and had been working long hours. He was always thinking of others. Joe's last wishes were to spend as much time with his family and to go camping with his little children one last time. We were very blessed to have Joe visit our home in the summer of 2020, and we drove to Oregon to visit Joe at his home one last time just before he passed. Joe left behind a wife and three young children.

Much research needs to be done and your donation will be used to give HOPE and save lives. Joe also suffered from Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu Syndrome. HHT is an inherited disease that leads to malformed blood vessels in multiple organs of the body and typically begins with nosebleeds during childhood. HHT can result in serious health problems if not promptly diagnosed and treated. Joe had brain surgery and battled this disease for most of his life. Cure HHT's mission is to find a cure for HHT while saving the lives and improving the well-being of individuals and families affected by HHT.
