How to Floss for Sockeye Salmon- Kenai River Alaska

On this trip 9 of us flew into Alaska to fish the record breaking sockeye salmon run on the Kenai River! We were there from August 1st through the 10th. Half of us flew into Anchorage which is only a 3 hour drive from Soldotna where we stayed. The other half flew into Fairbanks which is 9 hours away from Soldotna, but plane tickets and rental cars are WAY cheaper if you do that! We stayed at the Spruce Haven Lodge LLC which offered freezer space, and laundry machines which was nice. The sockeye limit was 6 fish a person while we were there. Most of the fish caught were sockeye (red) salmon, but we did manage to catch a couple Humpies (pink), and Coho (silver) salmon as well.
Between the 9 of us, we each took home 2 checked bags of salmon which ended up being around 700 pounds worth of fillets!
