This webinar was convened under the SAS Africa Drug Research and Discovery Program. The program aims to trigger, encourage and promote students’ and graduates’ interests and
participation in research to promote discovery and development of therapeutic and preventive
innovations for mitigation of AMR, as well as catalyzing research and development activities in
Africa.
The guest speakers for the session were Professor Cynthia Amaning, Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, in Kumasi, Ghana. The other guest speaker was Faith Zablon, Ph.D. researcher in Nanoengineering at the Joint School of Nano sciences, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
