Rhino Encounter and Secret Epcot Hours You NEED to See!

Thank you for joining us for Day 5 on our Walt Disney World vacation and Disney Vlog 2024 series.

Now this is a bit of a full on day! We check out of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and utilise Disney’s Luggage Transfer Service to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, where we are staying for the rest of this trip.

Animal Kingdom is the first stop of the day, where we are doing the backstage tour, Up Close With Rhinos! What an experience, getting to meet and pet Ranger the Rhino! It is World Earth Day and the Anniversary of Animal Kingdom Theme Park opening, so it is rammed packed! We make a fast exit and head over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for lunch at Geyser Point Bar & Grill. Of course we review lunch for you!

A quick review of our Saratoga Springs Resort stay for you too, including the pros and cons of staying in Congress Park.

Once our room is ready, we take you on a quick room tour of our deluxe villa at Disney Vacation Club resort Copper Creek. And then we head off to Epcot!

Dinner is served German Style, as we dine at Biergarten for the first time. A Bavarian village, with traditional German entertainment and buffet food. And of course steins of beer too! Well for David at least. I prefer the German White Wine flight! A full review of this Epcot dining experience, like no other!

The day finishes with us ticking off four of the longest wait rides at Epcot, utilising the Extended Hours for Deluxe Resort Guests. Now this is actually brilliant and if you are staying at a Deluxe resort, I highly recommend that you put these to good use! In two hours, we managed to do Soarin’ Around the World, Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure as walk ons and only a 20 minute wait for Test Track. The extra hours, or extra magic hours in old money, are a wonderful opportunity!
