This is an Origami Conch Shell Fractal made from a single square paper, designed by Origami Master Tomoko Fuse.
Fractals can be defined as a progressive scaling down of a pattern based on a certain algorithm (for example the Golden Ratio follows the ratio of 1:1.618), patterns that create smaller and smaller copies of themselves to form fascinating geometries. Fractals are essentially in the shape of spirals and if you look around you will see that they are found in nature like in the centre of a sunflower or a rock-rose, or even the shape of the galaxy.
Take a large size square cut from at least an A3 if not larger, and normal thickness (around 80gsm). Be precise in making the pre-creases. As the saying goes ' Deviate an inch, lose a thousand miles!!' 😊
You could use a ruler to assist you in making the angular creases. And be patient as this is a slightly tough model. In the second or third attempt you will master this.
