Akashi in Zagreb on Friday (26/8). Kinkel is insisting that the UN
Protection Force mandate in Croatia, which expires at the end of
September, must be renewed. Kinkel said Akashi had pledged to deploy
UN civil police in the Bihac enclave of northwestern Bosnia to
ensure the safety of returning Muslim residents.
