Just outside of Monument Valley is Forrest Gump Point/Hill, located on Highway 163 Scenic Drive (also known as Forrest Gump Hwy or Forrest Gump Road). Forrest Gump Hill is located in Mexican Hat County, where there is a rock formation that looks like a Mexican hat (it’s in the video). Driving on Highway 163 Scenic Drive took us through Blanding, Monticello and La Sal Junction, Utah. We stopped by the Hole n’ the Rock where Albert L. Christensen created and sculpted Franklin D. Roosevelt into the side of rock. This was such a peaceful drive — we thoroughly enjoyed it.
