Hello my loves,

This video was a massive project for me. Inspired by the visual language of the new Wicked movie, and by the song from the musical. This is a concept I had been thinking for a long time... changing the lyrics so that instead of making you “popular,” Glinda makes you sleepy.

It took me months of thinking about this idea before I finally committed to it, writing the lyrics, storyboarding the scenes, and deciding to actually make it real.

I transformed half of my room into a physical set, which was very challenging because I was still actively using it as my room. I rented props from an antique store, planned the visuals shot by shot over the course of three days, and pushed myself creatively in a way I don’t usually do, including soft singing, which is very different from my usual content.

Some of you might remember that I used to have an ASMR channel where I only soft sang, and I hadn’t done that in a long time. I also wasn’t (and honestly still am not 😅 so please validate me in the comments) sure how people would receive it or if it would feel like ASMR to everyone. I know this might not be everyone's cup of tea.

I bought so manyyy things for this video (everything is listed below btw) and it was just really fun to finally bring it all together. I still wanted to give Popular an ASMR spin and make it my own in some way. There are definitely parts I wish were better, and I wish I’d had more time to film everything properly (I only rented the background pieces for 30 days). When I was planning it didn’t vreally know what I was doing lol.

The hardest part by far was the storyboarding. Making sure the shots made sense, that I had enough coverage, and constantly thinking about the ASMR side of it all, which was more difficult than I expected at times.

I also couldn’t have done this without my partner and my editor, who helped film me, edited all of the cut scenes, and supported me throughout the entire process.

As I said already, this video is extremely different from anything else I’ve done on this channel, and it took a lot out of me.. but I really hope you enjoy it and feel relaxed watching it. Thank you for being here 🤍
