I recently purchased a 2012 Chevy Avalanche with only 44K miles in pristine condition. The only downer was the dash had cracks and was noisy going over bumps. All Avalanches I test drove prior had this issue. Looks to be a known problem with Avalanches, Tahoes, Yukons, and Suburbans from this era. Some folks suggest just replacing the dash, but it doesn't sound like GM fixed the inherent problem. Enter Dashskin!!

I chose to go with the single piece because I thought it would help fuse the two pieces on my dash together with the silicone and stop the rattling. It certainly did that.
June 2024 Update: Use a little more silicone than is recommended. This will help in the long term when the silicone dries and eliminate unnecessary rattling. I notice a little bit of loosening in certain areas that could have used more silicone. So far its fine. Worst case would be to redo it.
