Our next day traveling in Afghanistan was spent at the majestic Band e Amir National Park, home to what I seriously think is the bluest lake in the world!
Watch as we get permission to go from the Taliban checkpoint, paddle around one of the 5 lakes in a duck boat, and take in the seriously extraterrestrial-looking views in this surreal slice of the Bamyan province.
I have to say this was the absolute highlight of my Afghanistan trip, so do add it to your travel bucket list!
