The Future City Development Authority (FCDA) Headquarters at Meerkhanpet, Kandukur Mandal, near South Hyderabad, was inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on June 10, 2026 as part of the Bharat Future City initiative. During the event, the government also announced key planning and infrastructure initiatives for the project.

Key highlights:

FCDA will be the nodal authority responsible for planning and developing the proposed Bharat Future City project.

The Future City area covers about 765 sq. km, with an initial focus on approximately 30,000 acres for phased development.

The master plan is being prepared by Singapore-based DP Architects, covering sectors such as AI City, Life Sciences, EV & Energy Park, Electronics Manufacturing, Data Centers, Education, Healthcare, and Residential zones.

The FCDA office was originally announced for inauguration around Telangana Formation Day, but the formal launch took place on June 10, 2026.
