Tourists throng to Manali for the Manali Winter Carnival on January 03. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the five-day-long national-level Winter Carnival at Manali on January 02. The carnival will witness performances from as many as 25 cultural groups from various states, including star-studded nights.
The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
