Bishop Edward C. Malesic was ordained and installed as the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, July 13, 2015, at 2:30 p.m., at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.
Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M., Cap., of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, served as the ordaining bishop. Bishop Emeritus Lawrence E. Brandt, JCL, fourth bishop of the Diocese of Greensburg, and Bishop Ronald W. Gainer, DD, JCL, of the Diocese of Harrisburg, both served as co-ordaining bishops.
The Mass was broadcast live on television stations PCNC, EWTN, and WAOB Radio. WPXI.com, WTAE.com and KDKA.com also provided live web streams.
