What to Expect at Crete Aquarium
Crete Aquarium is located in Gournes, about 15 km east of Heraklion, the capital city of Crete. How to Visit Crete Aquarium
Crete Aquarium is open all year round, except on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The opening hours vary depending on the season:

Summer (April 1 - October 31): 9:30 am - 7:00 pm
Winter (November 1 - March 31): 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
The entrance fee is 12 euros for adults and 6 euros for children aged 5 to 17. Children under 5 can enter for free1. You can buy your tickets online or at the ticket office on site. You can also book a guided tour or an audio tour for an extra fee1.

Crete Aquarium is easily accessible by car or public transportation. There is a free parking lot next to the aquarium. You can also take the bus number 8 from Heraklion to Gournes and get off at the stop “Cretaquarium”. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs 2 euros2.
