On February 1st, 2026, the @twickenhambonsaiclub7664 returned to St. Richard Reynolds Catholic College for our biggest Winter Show yet! Despite the chill outside, the hall was alive with the "winter silhouettes" of world-class deciduous trees and the vibrant energy of the UK bonsai community.
In this video, we go behind the scenes to show you how a school hall transforms into a gallery of living art, featuring everything from tiny Mame to massive forest compositions.
🏆 Highlights & Winners
We are incredibly proud of the standard of trees this year. A huge congratulations to our "People’s Choice" winners:
1st Place: Terry’s Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘Boulevard’
2nd Place: Mark’s Acer palmatum ‘Arakawa’
3rd Place: Liz’s Acer palmatum ‘Shishigashira’
Special Milestone: We were honoured to witness Tina Todd receive the RHS certificate for her tireless contributions to the club and the hobby.
✨ What’s Inside the Video:
The Main Exhibit: A curated walk-through of member-owned masterpieces.
Mame & Suiseki: Tiny living gems and the meditative art of stone appreciation.
Live Demonstrations: Bold styling demonstrations, hard bent, pruning & wiring, and large forest compositions.
