He highlighted that Karnataka continues to lead the country’s tech ecosystem, backed by ₹4.5 lakh crore in IT exports, 47+ unicorns, India’s highest concentration of deep-tech startups, and strong global rankings in AI talent, R&D, semiconductor design, biotech, aerospace and defence manufacturing. Karnataka has consistently been a first mover with progressive policies across IT, BT, EV manufacturing, R&D and space tech. Kharge said the state’s “triple-helix” strength — industry, academia and government working together — has been built over three decades and is difficult to replicate.
