The Sangli Police successfully busted a counterfeit currency manufacturing unit operating out of a tea stall in Kolhapur, where fake notes of ₹200 and ₹500 were being printed. Police sources revealed that police constable Ibrar Inamdar from the Kolhapur Police Force was operating the counterfeit currency racket. The police seized property worth ₹1 crore 11 lakh, including fake notes valued at ₹99.23 lakh. Five individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, and further investigation is ongoing.
