Most car folks can never leave well enough alone, and for this essentially brand new Corvette C8, that means step 1 an exhaust upgrade! Gone is the active exhaust setup that comes with the factory C8 Chevy Corvette, now to be replaced with a lighter, and LOUDER unit from AWE Tuning. The model we are installing today is their Touring version, so considerably louder than stock, but not nearly as raw (and neighbor hating) as a Track version.
Because of the mid engine layout of the new generation of Chevy C8 Corvette, there's some disassembly required. This IS a bolt on kit, but in order to be able to do that, you need to pull some components. The rear bumper assembly, rear wheels and rock guards, as well as under panels need to be pulled. Let's get to work, and see just how much improvement this kit brings to our customers essentially "Day 2" Corvette!
