HARRISBURG, IL. (KMOX) - Rams players and the team's office staff got a good look at tornado torn Harrisburg Illinois Friday. "you see these big concrete foundations of houses. There's three steps and everything else is just torn apart." said Middle Linebacker James Laurinaitis.
He helped distribute emergency supplies to the townspeople from a grocery store, turned donation center.
Laurinaitis talked with students at Harrisburg High School and listened to one man tell of how he survived after the winds picked up his SUV and threw it about twenty yards.
"I think sometimes we do these things. It helps put things back into perspective, you realize how good you have it" said Laurinaiitis.
He said the devastation in Harrisburg was breathtaking.
