How to cover a cake with Chocolate Ganache | Perfect for Fondant Cakes | English

and Welcome to Gems Delights Baking diary :)
So for today, I will be sharing with you how I make my Chocolate Ganache. This is perfect for fondant cakes :)
Chocolate Ganache
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups Dark Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup Heavy or Whipped Cream (I used Everwhip)
Procedure:
1. In a microwavable bowl add in the Chocolate Chips and Cream
2. Mix making sure that all chocolate chips are covered in cream
3. Microwave it for about 20-30 seconds at Medium-High Temperature
4. After 20-30 seconds take it out of the microwave and using a spoon/spatula mix it until all Chocolate Chips are melted. If there's still bits of chocolate chips put it back in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds again. Then take it out of the microwave; just keep mixing until all of the remaining chocolate chips are melted.
5. Once smooth, let it cool at room temperature for about 30 mins or until the consistency is like peanut butter.
To cover the cake:
1. Crumb coat your cake first with your choice of icing then refrigerate it for 10-30 minutes.
2. Once cake is chilled coat the cake with a thin layer of Chocolate ganache (this will serve as a crumb coat as well).
3. Once coated with the 1st layer of ganache refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
4. After 30 minutes take your cake out of the fridge then apply a 2nd layer of chocolate ganache.
5. Once applied and smooth let it set for another 15-30 minutes at room temperature only.
Then you can now decorate it or cover your cake with fondant :)
