Since the 19th century this enchanted hotel nestled in the Appalachian Mountains has stood watch over Harpers Ferry. In 2007 it closed its doors permanently(?). A book could be written on all of the local conflict and drama that's since ensued over restoration. As you can see however, time is taking its toll on the historic West Virginia icon.
Disclaimer: Drone was operated in clear airspace, outside of the National Park boundary.
