30+ unauthorized drones fly over Seahawks' Super Bowl championship parade; officials seek charges

Описание: A joint state and federal defense team says it spotted more than 30 unauthorized drones in the sky over the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl championship parade and is pursuing charges against a pilot who flew an aircraft into a packed Lumen Field.

The pilot allegedly ignored warnings and operated the drone inside the stadium, despite a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) temporary flight restriction in the area at the time. Officials are seeking state reckless endangerment charges and federal authorities are seeking other criminal charges and fines.

The issue is of heightened concern since drones have been used as weapons of war.
