The Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) has demanded answers from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Director of Public Prosecutions) regarding the mysterious 30 million litres of fuel allegedly donated to Malawi by the Democratic Republic of Congo (Democratic Republic of Congo).
Speaking in Lilongwe, Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa said this action follows the ongoing inquiry by the PAC of Parliament (PAC of Parliament) into the controversial sale of the Amaryllis Hotel (Amaryllis Hotel) to the Public Service Pension Trust Fund (Public Service Pension Trust Fund).
Namiwa has challenged authorities to show similar commitment in probing other matters of national concern, including corruption allegations previously mentioned by former president Dr. Lazarus Chakwera (Lazarus Chakwera) involving the National Oil Company of Malawi (National Oil Company of Malawi).
