Metro Trains Melbourne's New Alstom X'Trapolis 2.0 Train test run on the Belgrave line
12-car transfer with Comeng EMU (3+3+6 cars)

The newly delivered first and third trainsets (TS01 & TS03) were towed up the line by an empty 6 cars Comeng train. They were then put through grading and braking test runs on one of the most challenging, steep-grade sections of the network between Upper Ferntree Gully (UFTG) and Belgrave.

Aug 10: TS01 (6 cars) - solo test run.
Aug 15: A 12-car consist (Comeng + TS03) was transferred empty car up the line to UFTG.
Aug 19 & 20: A 6-car Comeng was transferred to Bayswater, prepared to couple with the new train late at night and haul it back to Newport Workshops.
