Tyrese got off the block and found himself at a grocery store parking lot. But he wasn’t there to cause trouble; he was there to make enough money to eat and eventually catch the bus to school. The grocery store had a system where you had to insert a quarter into the cart mechanism to release the lock. When you returned the cart and reconnected it to the row, your quarter popped back out. Ever the resourceful kid, Tyrese realized he could gather enough money to buy food by taking the carts back for the quarter.
