In this video, we’ll sew a black Hobby Horse step by step, including sewn-in 3D nostrils for a realistic look. The sewing pattern we’re using is our Hobby Horse HOPE, which you can find in our stick horse sewing book “My Hobby Horse & Me” (available in English as PDF and paperback, and as a German hardcover). For customers in North America, HOPE is also available as a printed paper sewing pattern.

This DIY tutorial shows you how to sew your own stick horse plush toy using fabrics like minky or fleece, add details such as eyes, blaze, and mane, and create a beautiful handmade hobby horse for playing, riding and jumping. Please note: we do not sell finished Hobby Horses. Each one we make is sewn for demonstration and has already found a loving home. But with our sewing instructions, you can easily make your own Hobby Horse!
