How I am levelling up my usage of AI.
I started out using chatbots, to which I've added AI assisted coding. I then got into prompt engineering and that has brought me into building vector databases from my own sources and using local LLMs running on Ollama to query them - effectively building a custom AI chatbot, or "RAG" (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
In this video, I share some of my recent experience in learning to make better use of AI, my thoughts on privacy, running LLMs locally even on my Raspberry Pi based K8s cluster, and a couple of notes about the emotional impact of AI on software professionals.
These videos are not necessarily about my main current areas of expertise, but my areas of growth and development - I am not claiming to be an expert in these areas :-)
