Описание: Geopolitical risk is increasing, impacting MNCs and their treasuries around the world. Countries with policies aiming to keep foreign currency in country for economic reasons can present regulatory and tax restrictions, including capital and FX controls. Unforeseen events such as the Russia- Ukraine war have flagged the difficulties in pivoting from a centralised, standard operating model to standalone solutions, involving local counterparts, payment disruptions, etc. When confronted with exceptional circumstances, a case by case approach is required. We discuss the changes treasuries have implemented in terms of capital deployment, investment policies and FX strategies to deal with risks in complex markets. What governance frameworks can you put in place to ensure business continuity? How are treasuries managing cash repatriation and/or protecting against currency devaluation?
