STORYLINE:
Friends and family of a 45-year-old Ukrainian army Colonel gathered on Tuesday to pay their last respects to the father of two who was allegedly captured and tortured by Russian forces.
On March 31, Colonel Oleksiy Telizhenko was reported missing by his family, after they witnessed him being kidnapped by Russian soldiers from his Bucha home,
In September local authorities found the his body in a forest near the village of Myrotske, which they say had signs of torture.
Journalists from The Associated Press captured footage of the military funeral held on Tuesday at Bucha Cemetery, where people laid flowers and soldiers fired a gun salute.   
The Colonel had performed military duties in the capital since Russia's invasion.
Bucha, which was captured by the Ukrainian army only recently, is now the site of of war crimes investigations after Russian occupation.
