I had bought a 1980's Ferromanganese Steel D506 snare made by Sonor long ago and I had recently given it some TLC. Although a lot of what I actually did to the drum is missing in the video the drum runs through very similar steps as my last video (Ludwig Supraphonic restoration). I hope this video can be of use to someone that is on the fence about buying one of these snares. Sounds fantastic! This drum is compared to the sound of my Ludwig supraphonic in this video. Thanks for checking it out!
