Описание: A full walkthrough of a London North Eastern Railway Hitachi class 800 Azuma(9 carriage) train.
This video is a full walkthrough starting in Standard class and working through the train to end in first class through all 9 carriages.
Note that since filming this video the head rests in first class have been removed.

The formation of the LNER class 800 and class 801 9 carriage trains is A, B, C, G, H, J, K, L, M with M, L and half of K being being first class to align with the first class and the shop/buffet being located in carriage G in the centre of standard class. Accessible toilets are located in carriage A and M with standard small toilets being located throughout the train.

The interior of the LNER class 800 and class 801 is the same with a similar layout in the 5 carriage variants. Standard class is in a 2+2 layout in a mix of airline and bay seating with full tables in bays and tray tables in airline style seats. First class is located in a 2+1 layout with full tables at every seat with seats being arranged as individual and bays of 4 with a limited number of tables for 2 in both bay and airline style.

The majority of LNER services are operated by the Azuma trains which operate on all routes and alongside the Intercity 225 91+Mark 4 trains on services to York and Leeds. The class 800 specifically are Bi-Mode versions compared to the class 801 which are electric only. This means services over unelectrified routes to Aberdeen, Inverness, Middlesbrough, Harrogate, Lincoln and Hull are formed of only class 800. Other LNER East Coast Main Line services are formed of class 801 including those from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Bradford Forster Square and Skipton. Some named LNER services are formed of Azuma trains including the Highland Chieftain, Northern Lights, Carolean Express, West Riding Limited and Flying Scotsman.

The class 800 and class 801 replaced the older diesel Intercity 125 class 43+Mark 3 and most of the Intercity 225 class 91+Mark 4 sets on ECML services.

Note that this video was filmed in June 2023 at Aberdeen station as this train was waiting to form a London Kings Cross service via Edinburgh via the ECML.
