Описание: Bluetooth. We all know the word from our smartphones and pretty much every other wirelessly connected device, but did you ever wonder where the name comes from? Surprisingly the name has been around for a while. A really, really long while. The name actually comes from King Harald “Bluetooth” Gormsson, who was well known for two things. Uniting Denmark and Norway in 958, and for having one really nasty looking tooth that was a blue gray color. In 1996, industry leaders from Intel, Ericsson and Nokia met and came up with the name as a sort of placeholder while they figured out what to call their new wireless short range radio technology. Only the name never got changed and has been around ever since. Incidentally the Bluetooth logo, is actually a combination of two ancient runes that translate to Hagall and Bjarkan, the initials of Harald Bluetooth. #didyouknow #bluetooth #history
