Pakistan’s economy has not seen a growth spurt that has lasted for more than just a few years. This panel explored why that has been the case and whether the time to reach across political divisions to forge a consensus on the broad functioning of the economy has arrived.
The session was introduced by Mustafa Yar Hiraj, the President of the LSESU Pakistan Development Society and moderated by Faizan Dogar. Speaking in this panel were Minister for Industries and Production Mr. Hammad Azhar, Dr. Miftah Ismail and Mr. Yousuf Nazar.
At the end, Mustafa Yar Hiraj also delivered the closing remarks for the LSE Future of Pakistan Conference 2020.
