September 1987 ... and a new song by Depeche Mode was played on the radio completely unexpectedly ... or was it not!? Something wasn't right about the story and the riddle was cleared up pretty quickly. The song was by a group - unknown to the mainstream up to that point - that called itself "Camouflage" and came from Bietigheim-Bissingen (a place that somehow nobody knew either) and the scene with their song "The Great Commandment" was pretty stirred up. As die-hard DM fans, we naturally hoped that Camouflage - as the German counterpart - would establish itself at this level in the long term ... but after titles like "Strangers Thoughts" (1988) and "Love Is A Shield" (1989), things calmed down around the band relatively quickly. But they are still active and even have a tour announced for 2023/24.
"Drummer" of the song was Oliver Kreyssig ... although I assume that the "drumming" was limited to a pure programming activity.
PS: It can't be that 35 years have passed since the song was released!? It's unbelievable how quickly time flies!
Enjoy watching and don't forget to subscribe to my channel and give a like if you enjoyed it.
