An ironic little song about the world of overlanders—people who, out of passion, constantly travel the globe in specially prepared and camper-converted off-road vehicles, tackling routes that are often extremely challenging and very punishing for the vehicles, the body, and the wallet. It’s an adventurous and fascinating life, but also often very exhausting and, in some ways, almost too devoted to self-sacrifice.
This is not a mockery of the community—whom we actually thank for the footage they provide us from every corner of the world—but simply a light-hearted, ironic song that looks at it all from a different perspective than the usual “Lucky them, what a great life.”
