Alex and Pete made great points. All of which I agree with, but I feel they sped right past a major pro for Team Fridge/Freezer. I could not let that stand. Anyway, the point needed to be made and I'm here to make it.

On a personal note, I have not regretted adding a fridge to my overland set-up. I used to take my Yeti Cooler on my camping trips. And don't get me wrong, the Yeti cooler is awesome. Ice lasts more than a week in mine. But I still have food floating around in water before the trip is over. The fridge/freezer combo I got from DFG Off-road (https://www.dfgoffroad.com/) is awesome. I don't know why I waited so long. I had the 12 volt dual battery set-up charged by my Redarc BC/DC charger. If you are on the fence about getting a 12v fridge, jump over and just try one. I don't think you will be disappointed.
