Vintage Flex Fountain Pen | Omas Extra Lucens 556/F

Описание: Here is my take on my newly acquired vintage Omas 556/F Extra Lucens fountain pen. It comes with a lovely 14K gold flex nib.

As regards information about me... well, I have been active in the world of pen collecting for more than 30 years now. I started when I was very young and I ran a collectors' club in Italy. was in charge of its quarterly publication and organized pen shows, collectors' meetings, and restoration stages for members of the club.

Lots of articles for the Italian pen magazine Penna and a series of didactical booklets for Stipula in the 1990s.
I presently run my website, attend pen shows ( when possible, due to COVID), in Europe and the USA.

As regards the pen, it is an Omas Extra 556/F
This line was introduced after WWII ( 1948 c.ca). Extra models were manufactured in three sizes: 555, 556 and 557 (the rarest size)
Cylindrical models were named 555/S ( where the S means Semplice = simple), 555/S and 557/S
Facetted models were named : 555/F, 556/F, 557/F
The series was completed by 361 models in three sizes as well
Colors for the Extras were black, gray pearl and tortoise brown.
Colors for the 361 were black, arco gray and arco bronze
