This is a thorough description of how to repair and replace a Volkswagen Vanagon fuel pump. This was on a 1984 T3 North American Westfalia camper Volkswagen Vanagon. This same fuel pump will also work on Syncro Vanagons, Vanagon GL, Carat, Multivan or MV Vanagon, transporter, Weekender, or Wolfsburg edition Vanagons. This is an easy to follow fuel pump replacement for the Volkswagon Vanagon that should get you back on the road real quick if the fuel pump is your problem. This was a repair we did on the side of the road in Acapulco Mexico approximately two months into our round the world trip in our Vanagon. We have a Subaru ej22 engine out of a Legacy but it still uses the same fuel pump with the fuel management system. For more info check out these articles:
