Cascades at Shasta Dam, OMG! Watch to the end! Here the Thunder!

Описание: Take a minute and listen to the THUNDER and view of the most significant release of water from Shasta Dam in any February on record! Over 35,000 cubic feet per second is now being released to allow for the expected inflow of water from the largest storm of the season and spring snow melt. The normal release rate is usually about 3,500 CFS so this BIG release is 10 times greater. To add viisual scale of size to what you are viewing, the water pipes on the face of the dam spillway can easily hold a school bus! The 602 foot-high, concrete, curved gravity dam holds back an immense blue reservoir, Lake Shasta, which boasts a 365-mile shoreline nestled amid evergreen hills and the snow-covered volcanic peak of Mount Shasta. Shasta Dam is the second largest dam in the United States. Free daily tours of its interior are offered by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.

The Shasta Dam Vista View is amazing and really one of a kind. I highly recommend that your RV travels include a stop at one of the largest dams and reservoirs in the world. There are guided tours available at certain days and times, but check on that.
