There’s just nothing like the thrill of topwater strikes in a clear Kentucky creek!
Fishing creeks during late summer and early fall can be unpredictable, but smallmouth bass love shallow moving water, and when they’re feeding on the surface it’s some of the most exciting fishing you can experience. The Mini 75 Whopper Plopper has quickly become one of my go-to baits in these conditions, offering just the right profile and sound to trigger aggressive strikes. But fishing wasn’t the only wild part of the day… I may have had a close encounter with a Kentucky Bigfoot. 👣 While working a pool, something made a huge splash behind me. Either Bigfoot didn’t appreciate me fishing his honey hole and decided to throw a rock in the creek, or the mother of all walnuts fell from a tree. I’ll let you be the judge — was it a Bigfoot encounter or just nature doing its thing?
